Job summary

Procter & Gamble in Johannesburg seeks a senior Analytics & Insights lead to shape business and customer strategy through consumer, market and retailer insights.

You will guide end‑to‑end analytics, translate data into strategic recommendations and partner with leadership and retailers to activate insights using PowerBI and Excel. This role reports to the Director of Analytics & Insights for P&G South Africa and collaborates with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• University degree required in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or Business Science.
• 3–5 years experience in a multinational consumer goods or retail environment.
• Strong proficiency in PowerBI and Microsoft Excel with large‑data‑set analysis and dashboard development.
• Proficiency in applying AI tools (Microsoft Copilot and Claude Code) to accelerate analysis and insights.
• Experience in market, customer and consumer analysis to identify trends and strategic implications.
• Ability to lead consumer research and analytics projects end to end and manage external partners.
• Experience owning enterprise data and analytics initiatives including governance and adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics and end‑to‑end consumer research to shape business and customer strategy.
• Translate quantitative and qualitative data into clear strategic recommendations.
• Partner with leadership teams and retailers to activate insights.
• Lead complex analytics, simplify large datasets and develop dashboards as needed.
• Enable data mining and informed decision‑making across the business.
