Placements24 represents a leading industrial manufacturing client in Rustenburg, North West, seeking a seasoned Shift Production Manager to run the on-site shift. You will supervise production teams, ensure safety, quality, and on-time output, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a degree or diploma in engineering/operations management, 5+ years in production management with supervisory experience, and strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in production management, with 2+ years in a supervisory role within manufacturing.
• Proven track record of meeting output targets and maintaining safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all production activities during assigned shift.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production supervisors and line operators.
• Ensure targets are met in terms of volume, quality, and timeliness.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
• Monitor processes, identify and address operational inefficiencies promptly.
• Manage resources including personnel, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain production records and submit shift reports to senior management.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Train and develop staff to enhance skills and team performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance and QA to ensure smooth operations.
