Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager in Rustenburg, North West, to lead a technical team overseeing electrical design, installation, and maintenance across projects in a heavy industrial setting. The role emphasizes strategic leadership and adherence to high safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred), 7+ years in the field with 3+ in management, and strong proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Master's degree is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive electrical engineering experience with at least 3 in a supervisory role.
• Mining or heavy industrial sector experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and knowledge of SANS/IEC safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical engineering department, overseeing design, installation, and maintenance.
• Develop and implement electrical engineering strategies and standards.
• Manage projects to time, budget, and spec requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and project personnel.
• Oversee equipment selection and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Conduct performance reviews and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and safety teams.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
• Manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and regulators.
