Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim South Africa (Pty) Ltd invites applications for a Ruminant Technical Manager based in Johannesburg. You will lead the technical strategy for the ruminant portfolio, engage veterinarians, feedlots, and dairy/beef producers, and support launches, life-cycle management, and market development across Southern Africa.

Qualifications

BVSc and SAVC registration are mandatory.
5–8 years’ SA experience in cattle health or related fields.
Experience with field trials and product launches is desirable.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical expert for the ruminant portfolio in SA.
Build relationships with veterinarians, producers, distributors and stakeholders.
Provide technical support: trainings, workshops, herd health programs.
Collaborate with Sales/Marketing for product adoption and market growth.
Lead readiness for new product launches and lifecycle management.
Monitor disease trends and ensure compliant, accurate communications.
Oversee evidence generation and local value proposition development.
Represent the company at congresses and producer meetings.
