Placements24 in Paarl, Western Cape is seeking a dedicated Route Delivery Specialist to ensure FMCG products reach retail outlets on time. You will plan daily routes, load/unload, verify quantities, and maintain records while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include maintaining vehicle and product quality, adhering to safety policies, and working with a company vehicle provided for deliveries. A Code 8+ license and ability to lift 20 kg are required.

You will be responsible for managing your daily route, maintaining product quality during transit, and ensuring accurate stock management. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery vehicle to transport FMCG products to various retail locations and customers within the Paarl, Western Cape area.
• Plan and execute daily delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals and adherence to schedules.
• Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to maintain quality and prevent damage.
• Verify delivery quantities against order manifests and obtain customer signatures upon receipt.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any discrepancies.
• Conduct daily inspections of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (Code 8 or higher) with a good driving record.
• Previous experience in route delivery, courier services, or a similar role is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the Paarl, Western Cape region and surrounding areas is a plus.
• Physical ability to lift and carry goods weighing up to 20 kg regularly.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
