Job summary

Clicks Group Limited in Roodepoort is recruiting an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving sales, service excellence and customer loyalty in a busy health and beauty store. You will help manage store operations, merchandising, staff scheduling and administration while ensuring compliance with company policies.

The role reports to the Store Manager and offers opportunities to develop retail leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12 with Maths 50% and English 50%.
• Desirable: Degree in Retail/Business Management
• Minimum 1 year’ experience in an assistant store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment or successful completion the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
• Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in driving sales and customer loyalty.
• Execute promotions and cross-selling / up-selling initiatives.
• Oversee stock and shrinkage management and general store administration.
• Lead in-store visual merchandising and ensure brand presentation standards.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labour planning to meet targets.
• Maintain daily operations and compliance with company policies.
