Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Retail Store Assistant to join the team at our North Cape Mall Store in Kimberley, Northern Cape.

The main purpose is to assist with the overall management of the store, ensuring that operational and administrative duties are performed in accordance with standard policies and procedures. The role requires Grade 12, basic computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook, and SAP. Retail experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP.
• Retail experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and report customer compliments and complaints.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers.
• Handle stock queries and ensure resolution.
• Ensure effective communication with customers for feedback.
• Assist customers with enquiries and direct to appropriate departments.
• Manage cash handling, including floats and refunds.
• Verify deliveries and invoices for accuracy.
• Assist Receiving Manager with distribution centre claims.
• Maintain high-risk stock control and daily reconciliations.
• Ensure change availability for cashiers and maintain service levels.
• Maintain documentation including floats, petty cash and cash on hand.
