Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking a General Assistant (External Applications Only) for Brackenfell. The role focuses on delivering excellent in-store customer service, merchandising stock, labeling prices, and maintaining store housekeeping within the assigned area.

The position requires basic numeracy, ability to communicate in English and local language, and willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. You must have a SA ID or valid work permit and be able to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year work-related experience
• Grade 12 without related work experience
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language
• Valid South African ID or work permit
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Able to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist customers on correct products and queries
• Assist with and resolve customer complaints
• Bulk stock area to be merchandised safely and per store layout
• Area fully merchandised according to store layout and planograms
• Ensure area free of obstacles and safe for customers
• Correct shelf price labelling within area of responsibility
• Complete required checklists when on duty with canteen and sanitation schedule
• Follow OHSA safety requirements and report discrepancies or damaged stock
