Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking a General Assistant (Internal Applications Only) to deliver frontline customer service in-store, assist with merchandising, price labeling and housekeeping within the assigned area. You will support customers, answer queries, and help maintain store layout according to planograms.

Requirements include Grade 12 or Grade 10/NQF 3 with related experience, or Grade 12 with no experience; English and local language proficiency; SA ID or work permit; basic calculations;

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year related work experience, or Grade 12 with no related work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
• Valid South African ID or work permit.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive customer service in-store.
• Assist with merchandising and shelf price labeling in designated area.
• Keep stock area tidy and within store layout plan.
• Ensure area is free of obstacles and safe for customers.
• Respond to customer queries and resolve complaints where possible.
• Maintain OHSA safety compliance in the assigned area.
