Placements24 is seeking an Assistant Retail Manager in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, supervise staff, and drive sales while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

You will also handle inventory, merchandising, and training, contributing to a productive team and store profitability. The role requires a minimum of three years in a retail supervisory capacity, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Retail supervisory/assistant management experience (min 3 years).
• Proven ability to drive sales and meet targets.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail software.
• Willing to work weekends and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in daily store operations.
• Supervise and mentor retail associates for productivity.
• Drive sales through effective strategies and engagement.
• Support inventory management including stock takes and replenishment.
• Ensure consistent store presentation and merchandising.
• Handle customer inquiries to maintain satisfaction.
• Assist in training new staff and onboarding.
• Monitor sales metrics and report to Store Manager.
• Maintain adherence to policies, safety and security.
• Contribute to store's efficiency and cost control.
