About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of stores within the prestigious Sandton region. The Area Manager will be responsible for developing strategic plans, coaching store managers, and ensuring consistent brand standards are met. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a designated group of retail stores to achieve sales, profitability, and operational targets.
• Develop and implement regional sales strategies and marketing initiatives.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop store managers and their teams.
• Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, procedures, and visual merchandising standards.
• Monitor store performance, analyze sales data, and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct regular store visits and provide constructive feedback and support to store teams.
• Manage operational budgets and control expenses for assigned stores.
• Oversee inventory management and stock control across the area.
• Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times.
• Address and resolve escalated customer complaints and operational issues.
• Collaborate with head office departments on various retail initiatives.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the local market and competitor activities in Sandton.
• Potentially manage administrative tasks or team communications remotely as part of the hybrid model.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Retail Area Manager, Regional Manager, or similar multi-site management role.
