Job summary

HotelJobs seeks a dynamic Reserve Maintenance Ops Manager to lead the maintenance team on a game reserve or large farming operation. You will drive infrastructure upkeep, asset care, and daily operations, reporting to the Reserve Manager. A strong maintenance background and people leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a managerial or assistant managerial role in maintenance.
• Valid RSA Driver's Licence (Code 8) and RSA ID.
• Level 3 First Aid, firefighting training, and Health & Safety training.
• Formal qualifications in electrical systems, plumbing, or boiler making and electrical fencing are advantageous.
• Clear, contactable professional references.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules to optimize reserve productivity.
• Lead and mentor the entire maintenance team, uphold high standards of timekeeping and workspace organisation.
• Manage operational budgets, source suppliers, oversee orders and deliveries.
• Maintain a safe, tidy workplace in line with health and safety protocols.
• Respond to emergencies after hours and during outages as required.
• Prepare administrative reports and assist the Reserve Manager as needed.
