Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 2+ years reservations experience in a large, high-volume city hotel.
• Proficient in OPERA PMS.
• Experience handling bookings, amendments and cancellations across direct and online channels.
• Solid understanding of room types, rates, packages, availability and basic revenue management.
• Excellent telephone and email communication with strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and work independently during late and overnight shifts.

• Process reservations, amendments and cancellations accurately on OPERA PMS.
• Respond promptly and professionally to telephone, email and online enquiries.
• Capture guest details, rates, packages and special requests correctly.
• Monitor availability and follow hotel procedures and rate strategies.
• Upsell room categories, packages and hotel services where appropriate.
• Resolve booking queries and coordinate guest requirements with relevant departments.
• Maintain accurate records and consistent service standards across all shifts.

At The President Hotel in Bantry Bay, Cape Town, we are looking for an experienced Reservationist (Comms Centre Agent) to help create a seamless guest journey from the first enquiry.

As we continue our journey toward luxury, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate bookings and professional guest service within our busy 349-room hotel.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12.
• Minimum 2 years' dedicated reservations experience within a large, high-volume city hotel.
• Strong practical experience using OPERA PMS is essential.
• Experience managing bookings, amendments and cancellations across direct and online channels.
• Understanding of room types, rates, packages, availability and basic revenue management.
• Excellent telephone, email and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and work independently during late and overnight shifts.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts: 07h00-16h00, 14h00-23h00 and 23h00-08h00, including weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable transport, particularly for late and overnight shifts.
• South African ID and an updated CV with contactable references.
