Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and on-the-job training of juniors. Must ensure compliance with OHSA and manufacturer standards; strong focus on accurate logs and site cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of HVAC industry experience.
• Extensive knowledge of VRV systems.
• Ability to run diagnostics and identify faults on HVAC systems.
• Proficient in reading/interpreting technical plans and blueprints.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Trade Test qualification is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and methodical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective components with customer approval.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Repair Technician to join a leading HVAC specialist in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing complex faults, implementing technical solutions, and ensuring that all systems function at peak performance while maintaining exceptional standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair various ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment in accordance with company standards.
• Run diagnostic tests to identify the root cause of unit breakdowns and maintenance risks.
• Perform high-quality repairs or replacements of defective components upon customer approval.
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to junior team members.
• Ensure strict compliance with manufacturer standards, product specifications, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and records of all maintenance functions and site visits.
• Manage stock and tools effectively, ensuring all equipment is prepared before heading to customer sites.
• Provide feedback to administrative staff and advise customers on the correct usage of their HVAC systems.
• Conduct thorough site clean-ups upon completion of work to ensure customer satisfaction.
