About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled HVAC Technician to manage the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a portfolio of commercial properties in George. You will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair various types of HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, and ventilation units.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks and tune-ups on all HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues within HVAC systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and repair procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls to resolve urgent HVAC system problems.
• Maintain accurate records of all service calls, maintenance performed, and parts used, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• Certified HVAC Technician with relevant trade qualifications.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and combustion systems.
• Ability to work with various hand and power tools, including meters and testing equipment.
• Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations related to HVAC systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
