Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced HVAC Installation Technician to join our client in Cape Town. You will install and commission HVAC systems on residential and commercial properties, read blueprints, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

You will travel within the Cape Town region, perform tests, provide client explanations, and maintain detailed installation reports. The role offers tools and a service vehicle and opportunities for certification and growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HVAC Installation Technician or similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical components.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, connect, and commission HVAC systems per plans and manufacturer guidelines.
• Modify ductwork, piping, and electrical connections as needed.
• Test and diagnose systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Explain operation procedures to clients clearly.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite and follow regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, connect, and commission various types of HVAC systems according to project plans and manufacturer guidelines.

• Provide clients with clear explanations of installed systems and basic operational procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC Installation Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and relevant electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools common in the HVAC trade.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the Cape Town region.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., SAQCC Gas) are a significant advantage.
