Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Renewable Energy Systems Analyst for our client in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role focuses on evaluating performance, feasibility, and economic viability of solar PV, wind, and storage systems, delivering data-driven insights to clients across the energy sector.

You will perform techno-economic assessments, energy modeling, and grid interconnection analysis, while developing detailed client reports and supporting business development activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of renewable energy analysis experience.
• Proficient in energy modeling software (PVSyst, HOMER, SAM).
• Strong analytical skills for complex data interpretation.
• Good understanding of power systems and grid integration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Python or scripting is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of SA energy market and regulatory landscape is advantageous.

• Understanding of power systems, grid integration, and renewable energy technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis is a plus.
