About the Role

Our client, a dynamic player in the renewable energy market, is looking for a sharp and analytical Renewable Energy Systems Analyst to join their team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. This role is critical for evaluating the performance, feasibility, and economic viability of various renewable energy projects, including solar PV, wind farms, and battery storage systems. You will play a key part in shaping the company's investment strategies and ensuring the optimal deployment of clean energy technologies across the region. Key Responsibilities Analyze the technical and financial performance of renewable energy systems. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for potential renewable energy installations. Develop energy yield models and production forecasts using specialized software. Evaluate different renewable energy technologies and provide recommendations. Analyze market trends and regulatory frameworks impacting the energy sector. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and investment proposals. Collaborate with engineering, finance, and business development teams. Monitor the operational performance of existing renewable energy assets. Identify opportunities for system optimization and cost reduction. Stay updated on advancements in renewable energy technologies and grid integration.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy) or a strong quantitative field such as Physics or Mathematics. Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy systems analysis, renewable energy project development, or a related analytical role. Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., PVSyst, SAM, WAsP) is highly desirable. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with excellent attention to detail. Experience with data analysis and statistical tools. Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of the South African energy market and regulatory environment is a plus. Familiarity with battery energy storage systems (BESS) is advantageous. Must be eligible to work in South Africa.
