Placements24 is seeking a proactive Renewable Energy Project Developer in Benoni to drive opportunity identification, evaluation and financial close for new projects. The role blends site visits with remote strategy work, stakeholder engagement and market analysis to grow a clean energy portfolio.

You'll work in a hybrid setup, coordinating with engineering and construction teams, and staying current on regulatory incentives and market trends to secure investment and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3-7 years of renewable energy project development or related experience.
• Proven track record in identifying, developing and closing projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess potential sites for renewable energy projects and conduct feasibility studies.
• Develop project proposals, business cases and financial models to secure investment.
• Negotiate land rights, PPAs, and interconnection agreements.
• Manage relationships with landowners, authorities, utilities and investors.
• Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure technical soundness and alignment with objectives.
• Stay informed about regulatory frameworks, incentives and market trends.
• Prepare and present project updates and investment recommendations to senior management.
