Placements24 is seeking a forward-thinking Renewable Energy Engineer to design, develop, and implement solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects in East London. You will contribute to sustainable energy initiatives and help advance clean energy solutions for the Eastern Cape region.

The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, with 3+ years in renewables, experience with design software, grid integration principles, and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a focus on renewable energy.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar or wind power.
• Proficiency in renewable energy design software and simulation tools.
• Understanding of grid integration principles for renewable energy sources.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Strong project management and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer renewable energy systems, including solar PV and wind turbine installations.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and resource analyses for new renewable energy projects.
• Select appropriate equipment and components, considering efficiency, cost, and reliability.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and performance monitoring of renewable energy systems.
