Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our Pretoria-based team focused on water supply and sanitation infrastructure. You will design and implement projects from concept to operation, with emphasis on sustainable water management and public health.

The role involves hydraulic modeling, feasibility studies, collaborations with government agencies, and remote work capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on Water Resources.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in water and wastewater engineering design.
• PE registration (Pr. Eng.) with ECSA preferred.
• Proficiency with water resource modeling software such as EPANET and InfoWorks ICM.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan water supply systems including pipelines, pumping stations, and storage reservoirs.
• Develop wastewater collection and treatment systems in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis for water distribution networks and sewer systems.
• Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, and environmental impact assessments for water infrastructure.
• Collaborate with government agencies and community representatives to ensure project success.
• Oversee implementation and construction phases, providing technical guidance.
