Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Virtual Event Catering Coordinator to manage end-to-end catering logistics for online gatherings, liaising with clients and a network of catering partners across regions.

You will craft proposals, confirm guest lists and delivery addresses, troubleshoot issues, ensure food safety standards, and help drive attendee satisfaction in a fast-paced digital environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event planning, catering coordination, or a related hospitality role, preferably with a focus on virtual or remote operations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client and vendor interaction.
• Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and project management software.
• A keen understanding of food and beverage service logistics.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote setting.
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a client-centric approach.
• Experience working with diverse culinary options and catering vendors is highly desirable.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office space.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of virtual event catering, from initial client consultation to post-event follow-up.
• Develop customized catering proposals and menus tailored to specific event themes, attendee demographics, and dietary requirements.
• Manage relationships with a network of approved catering partners and food delivery services across different geographic regions.
• Oversee the booking, confirmation, and execution of all catering orders, ensuring timely delivery to event attendees.
• Liaise with clients and internal event teams to confirm guest lists, delivery addresses, and special instructions.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the catering delivery process, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
• Maintain detailed records of events, client preferences, and vendor performance for future reference and continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in virtual events and food delivery services to provide innovative solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and handling standards by partner vendors.
