Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Civil Engineer specializing in Transportation Networks for a fully remote role. You will design, plan, and optimize road, rail, and public transport systems across regions, leveraging traffic analysis and geometric design to deliver safe, sustainable mobility solutions.

You will work independently with remote teams, preparing reports and proposals, and collaborating with planners and environmental specialists.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng.).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in transportation modeling and design software (e.g., PTV Vissim, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Synchro).
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, road safety, and sustainable transport modes.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan transportation infrastructure, including highways, arterial roads, intersections, and public transport facilities.
• Conduct traffic studies, demand forecasting, and capacity analyses to inform design decisions.
• Develop geometric designs, alignments, and cross-sections for new and upgraded transportation routes.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international transportation standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with urban planners, environmental specialists, and other engineers to create integrated transportation systems.
• Prepare technical reports, environmental impact assessments, and project proposals for transportation projects.
