Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote Telecoms Network Planner to design and optimize our telecommunications network infrastructure. This fully remote role focuses on capacity planning, network design documentation, and forecasting future needs to ensure scalable, efficient services.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams, analyze traffic data, and present plans to management. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in telecom planning are required, with GIS tools proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications network planning, design, or engineering.
• Proficiency in network design tools incl. GIS-based planning tools.
• Strong understanding of network architectures, protocols (IP, MPLS, BGP) and transmission technologies.
• Experience with forecasting methodologies in large-scale networks.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed network expansion plans, including capacity planning for core, transport, and access networks.
• Create network designs and diagrams, specifying equipment, configurations, and logical layouts.
• Analyze network traffic data and performance metrics to identify trends and forecast future requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless implementation of network plans.
• Research and evaluate new network technologies and their potential application for network growth.
• Prepare technical reports and present network plans to management and stakeholders.
