Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecom Network Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will design, deploy, and optimize complex telecom networks, including optical, wireless, and IP components, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability for our critical network infrastructure.

The role emphasizes strategic capacity planning and advanced routing technologies, with collaboration from vendors in a distributed environment across diverse regions. Strong in BGP/MPLS and DWDM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required; master's preferred.
• 7+ years in telecom network engineering with design/architecture focus.
• CCNA/CCNP or vendor certifications highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage complex telecom networks including optical, wireless, and IP.
• Develop strategic plans for network capacity growth and technology evolution.
• Conduct performance analysis and implement optimization strategies for network efficiency.
• Lead troubleshooting for critical network issues with rapid and effective resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to integrate new technologies and services.
• Ensure network security best practices are implemented and maintained across all platforms.
