The role involves remote installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure and equipment, using advanced diagnostic tools to ensure system uptime.

You will collaborate with field teams and vendors, delivering high-quality remote support and maintaining documentation for procedures and configurations in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician, Network Technician, or similar role with a focus on remote support.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, telecommunications systems, and relevant hardware.
• Proficiency in using remote access and diagnostic tools for system management and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-discipline and time management to meet remote work objectives from Cape Town.

Responsibilities

• Remotely install, configure, and manage telecommunications hardware and software systems.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for network connectivity issues, equipment malfunctions, and service disruptions.
• Conduct remote diagnostics and system checks to identify and resolve potential problems before they impact users.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for remote installation procedures, troubleshooting guides, and system configurations.
