Placements24 seeks a Telecommunications Solutions Architect to design and deliver enterprise telecommunications solutions in a fully remote role. You will architect networks, VoIP, UC, and cloud integrations for clients across Pretoria, Gauteng and beyond, translating complex requirements into tangible business outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in telecom network design and solutions architecture, deep IP networking and cloud experience (AWS/Azure), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in telecommunications network design and solutions architecture.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate tech into business value.
• Experience with remote work and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of telecommunications solutions for enterprise clients.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering and product teams to capture client needs.
• Translate requirements into detailed solution designs and proposals.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms and vendors to meet objectives.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
• Develop architecture documentation, diagrams, specs and plans.
• Provide guidance through sales cycles and project implementation.
• Stay current with emerging telco technologies and best practices.
• Conduct PoCs and pilots to validate proposed solutions.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge base.
