Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Solutions Architect to design and articulate complex telecom solutions for enterprise clients in a fully remote capacity across South Africa. You will lead pre-sales discussions, collaborate with engineering and product teams, and develop detailed architecture diagrams and blueprints to guide multi-vendor deployments.

The role demands deep expertise in IP networking, 5G, SDN/NFV, cloud integration, and strong communication skills to influence

Qualifications

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
8+ years of experience in telecommunications systems design, architecture, and implementation.
Strong knowledge of IP networking, MPLS, VoIP, SIP, wireless (4G/5G), and cloud infrastructure.
Proven experience in solution architecture or pre-sales engineering.
Excellent presentation and communication skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Design comprehensive telecommunications solutions (voice, data, mobile, cloud) for enterprise clients.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.
Lead pre-sales discussions and present solution proposals to clients.
Collaborate with product management and engineering to influence roadmaps.
Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concept deployments.
Create architecture diagrams, solution blueprints, and best-practice guides.
