Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join a fully remote team supporting operations including their facility in Klerksdorp, South Africa. The role focuses on data-driven optimization across the supply chain, using forecasting, inventory planning, and KPI tracking to improve efficiency and service levels.

The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, experience with Excel and SQL, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and business intelligence software (Power BI, Tableau).
• Excellent understanding of supply chain management principles and logistics processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and service levels.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key supply chain metrics and KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, logistics, operations) to implement data-driven strategies.
• Assist in demand forecasting and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Research and recommend new technologies or methodologies to enhance supply chain operations.
• Provide insights and support for strategic decision-making related to network design and optimization.
