Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Subsea Pipeline Engineer to join a globally distributed, remote-first team. This fully remote role focuses on design, analysis, and integrity management of subsea pipelines for the oil and gas industry, spanning concept to decommissioning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Ocean Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of subsea pipeline engineering experience.
• Proven experience with subsea pipeline design software (PIPESIM, OFFPIPE, Orcaflex).
• Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, hydrodynamics, structural analysis and materials science.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design calculations for subsea pipelines including route selection, wall thickness, and material specs.
• Conduct analyses such as FEA, buckling, fatigue, and flow assurance for subsea systems.
• Develop and review installation and pre-commissioning procedures.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards (DNV, API, ISO).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage third-party consultants.
