Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Subsea Engineer for a fully remote role focused on the design, development, and integrity management of subsea systems for FPSO and deepwater developments. The candidate will lead technical definitions, flow assurance, and collaboration with global teams to deliver safe, compliant offshore solutions.

The role requires extensive subsea hardware experience, strong understanding of standards, and the ability to mentor less experienced engineers in a remote, globally

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering.
• 10+ years of subsea engineering experience in offshore FPSO and deepwater.
• Experience with API, DNV, ISO standards and flow assurance.
• Proven subsea hardware design, installation, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and specification of subsea equipment (trees, manifolds, jumpers, umbilicals).
• Perform flow assurance analysis to ensure operational integrity.
• Develop and review designs, calculations, and drawings for subsea structures.
• Oversee fabrication, installation, and commissioning, often remotely managing site activities.
• Conduct integrity reviews and risk assessments for existing subsea assets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams via digital platforms.
• Ensure compliance with API, DNV, ISO standards and company requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals and scopes of work; support procurement.
• Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers within the team.
• Stay updated with advances and best practices in subsea engineering.
