Placements24 is seeking a Senior Subsea Engineer for a remote-first role to lead design, analysis, and execution of complex subsea field developments across global offshore projects. You will collaborate with international teams and stakeholders to deliver state-of-the-art solutions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in subsea engineering, deepwater exposure, and strong project management skills, with proficiency in subsea equipment design, control systems, and related software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea engineering, with a strong focus on deepwater projects.
• In-depth knowledge of subsea equipment design, manufacturing, and operation (e.g., subsea trees, control systems, connectors, jumpers).
• Proficiency in relevant subsea design and analysis software.
• Proven experience in project management and execution of subsea developments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of subsea production systems, including trees, manifolds, risers, and flowlines.
• Perform detailed analysis of subsea equipment performance, integrity, and reliability.
• Develop technical specifications and scopes of work for subsea equipment procurement and services.
• Manage subsea engineering projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, reservoir engineers, and offshore installation specialists.
• Review vendor documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and cost reduction in subsea system design and execution.
• Ensure all designs and operations comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Contribute to the development and mentorship of junior subsea engineers.
