Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Structural Engineer with a minimum of five years of experience to join a globally connected consultancy. You will perform analysis, design, and detailing for diverse building and infrastructure projects from a fully remote setup.

The role emphasizes collaboration with remote teams, adherence to SANS/Eurocode standards, and ongoing professional development. The position offers flexible hours, a laptop and software licenses, and opportunities to work on

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro) and CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit)
• Strong understanding of material behavior (steel, concrete, timber) and structural principles
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills for remote collaboration
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
• Membership in a professional engineering body (e.g., ECSA) is highly desirable
• Experience on diverse project types and remote collaboration tooling

Responsabilidades

• Perform structural analysis and design for various building types and infrastructure projects using advanced software
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines remotely via virtual platforms
• Ensure designs comply with building codes and standards (SANS, Eurocodes)
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and client review
• Contribute to development of innovative design solutions and construction methodologies
• Manage assigned project workload to meet deadlines and quality standards
• Participate in virtual meetings and client consultations
• Stay updated with advancements in structural engineering software and techniques
