Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer for a fully remote role. You will perform analyses for steel, concrete, and other materials, develop BIM models in Revit, and prepare construction specifications while ensuring compliance with SA codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in structural design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (STAAD.Pro, Etabs, SAP2000) and BIM tools (Revit).
• In-depth knowledge of material properties and structural systems.
• Strong understanding of South African National Standards and building codes.
• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for steel, concrete, and other structural materials.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, BIM models, and construction specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers via virtual platforms.
• Review requirements and provide safe, economical, constructible solutions.
• Conduct quality control checks on design deliverables before submission.
