Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Strategic Sourcing Analyst to join our fully remote procurement team. This role focuses on driving cost optimization, supplier management, and category strategy development in a data-driven environment.

You will leverage Excel, Tableau, and Power BI to analyze spend, benchmark suppliers, and support leadership with informed decisions, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain analysis, or a related analytical role.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience in conducting spend analysis, market intelligence gathering, and supplier benchmarking.
• Familiarity with sourcing methodologies and RFx processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Analytics, or a relevant quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify sourcing trends, cost drivers, and potential savings opportunities.
• Develop and maintain spend analytics dashboards to provide insights into organizational spending patterns.
• Support the sourcing managers in developing and executing category strategies and sourcing events (RFx).
• Evaluate supplier performance metrics and identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Assist in the preparation of business cases and presentations for sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations.
