Placements24 is seeking an experienced Strategic Management Accountant to join their finance team, supporting operations from Paarl with remote work. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly management reporting to drive strategic decisions.

The role emphasizes analytical rigour, strong communication of complex financial information, and the ability to develop financial models and improve processes across product lines and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CIMA or equivalent professional qualification desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
• Strong proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts with department heads.
• Conduct in-depth variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports highlighting key metrics.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support planning and decisions.
• Analyze profitability by product line, customer, and project for improvements.
• Implement and improve financial systems and processes for accuracy and efficiency.
