Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join a fully remote finance team. The role focuses on delivering management reports, cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to drive profitability and strategic decisions.

You will build financial models, implement controls, and partner with operational leaders to translate data into actionable insight while maintaining autonomy in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Management Accounting.
• Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or CA(SA) preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in management accounting.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Sage).
• Able to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze management reports including P&L and KPIs.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting with department heads.
• Analyze cost accounting data to identify reductions.
• Build financial models for new projects and investments.
• Prepare monthly closings for management accounting.
• Ensure accuracy of data used in management reporting.
• Monitor financial performance and provide insights to leadership.
• Maintain internal controls for management accounting.
• Mentor junior finance staff where applicable.
• Streamline management accounting processes and tools.
