Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly analytical Sports Performance Analyst for a remote role based in Benoni, Gauteng. You will collect, interpret, and present performance data to support athlete development and strategic decisions.

You will collaborate with coaches, sports scientists, and athletes, using R, Python, SPSS, and Hudl/Dartfish to deliver actionable KPIs and insights, driving performance improvements across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• Master's degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze performance data from training and games using specialized software.
• Develop and maintain databases of athlete and team performance metrics.
• Create clear, concise reports for coaching staff, athletes and management.
• Identify trends and insights related to individual and team performance.
• Collaborate with coaches to define KPIs and outcomes.
• Utilize video analysis to breakdown game footage and provide tactical feedback.
• Assist in developing and refining training programs based on data.
• Stay updated on advances in sports analytics and data tools.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders with varying technical levels.
• Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
