Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Sports Analyst to join its analytics team. You will collect, process, and interpret complex sports data to provide actionable insights for athletes, teams, and organizations.

This fully remote role demands a strong quantitative background, proficiency in Python or R, and experience with Tableau or Power BI. You will develop dashboards, build predictive models, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in statistics, data science, computer science, mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 4 years of data analysis experience, preferably within the sports industry.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from various sports performance and engagement platforms.
• Perform statistical analysis and build predictive models to identify trends and patterns.
• Develop dashboards and reports to visualize data and communicate key findings to stakeholders.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance athlete performance, team strategy, and fan engagement.
• Collaborate with sports scientists, coaches, and management teams to understand their data needs.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in sports analytics, data science, and machine learning techniques.
• Identify opportunities for data collection and analysis to improve operational efficiency and competitive advantage.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout all analysis processes.
• Present complex findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to the development of new analytical tools and methodologies for the Leisure & Sports sector.
