Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Specialist Recruiter focused on Healthcare and Life Sciences in South Africa. You will manage end-to-end recruitment, sourcing CRAs, PV specialists, regulatory affairs experts and healthcare admins, all within a remote-first setup.

You’ll collaborate with clients and candidates, ensuring a positive experience while staying current on industry trends and regulatory changes relevant to health sciences in SA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in recruitment with focus on Healthcare or Life Sciences.
• Experience placing Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, or Healthcare Administration roles.
• Comfort with remote or distributed team structures and modern sourcing tech.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with scientific/medical professionals.

About the Role

Our client, a highly reputable and fully remote recruitment consultancy, is seeking a dedicated Remote Specialist Recruiter with a focus on the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors. This crucial role involves identifying, engaging, and securing top-tier professionals for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and healthcare provider organizations throughout South Africa . Key Responsibilities

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for roles within Healthcare and Life Sciences, from initial vacancy briefing to successful placement. Proactively source and attract candidates with specialized skills in areas such as clinical research, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, bioinformatics, and healthcare management. Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both clients and candidates in the sector. Utilize a range of sourcing tools, databases, and networking strategies to build robust talent pipelines. Conduct effective screening interviews, assessing technical qualifications, experience, and cultural alignment. Collaborate closely with hiring managers to deeply understand their specific needs and organizational dynamics. Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Stay informed about the latest developments, regulations, and talent trends within the Healthcare and Life Sciences industries.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of recruitment experience, with a clear specialization in Healthcare or Life Sciences. Demonstrated success in placing professionals in roles such as Clinical Research Associates, Pharmacovigilance Specialists, Regulatory Affairs Managers, R&D Scientists, and Healthcare Administrators. Experience working within a remote or distributed team structure is essential. Proficiency with ATS platforms and modern sourcing technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with scientific and medical professionals. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to achieving results. A relevant degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or Human Resources is an advantage.
