Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Solar Energy Analyst to join a fully remote team supporting operations in the Western Cape and beyond. You will evaluate solar PV projects, build financial models, and translate data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

The role requires a quantitative degree and at least four years of solar energy experience, with proficiency in PVSyst/Helioscope and strong communication skills for remote collaboration with a global team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field required.
Minimum 4 years of solar energy analysis experience.
Proficiency with solar performance modeling software (PVSyst, Helioscope) and financial modeling.
Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Experience presenting technical information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Conduct site assessments and solar resource analysis.
Develop financial models to evaluate PV project viability.
Analyze project performance data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders with findings and recommendations.
Collaborate with engineering and project management to ensure feasibility and optimize designs.
Stay current with solar industry trends, market dynamics, and policy changes.
