Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic and experienced Remote Program Manager to lead social impact initiatives. This leadership role covers strategic planning, implementation and oversight of programs designed to create positive social change, managing lifecycles and virtual teams from anywhere in South Africa.

You will engage diverse stakeholders, monitor progress, report outcomes and ensure programs achieve measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, or Development Studies.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in program management.
• Proven track record managing complex projects with measurable outcomes.
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and virtual collaboration tools.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end management of social impact programs from concept to evaluation.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Lead and motivate remote project teams and foster collaboration.
• Engage with community leaders, partners, and beneficiaries to ensure relevance.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies; report to senior management.
