Placements24 is seeking a Senior Underwriter specializing in Specialty Lines for a remote-first role. Based from your home office, you will underwrite complex risks and shape the specialty portfolio for clients across regions.

The role requires at least 7 years of underwriting experience, with 4 years in specialty lines, strong financial analysis, and excellent negotiation skills. ACII/CPCU qualifications are preferred, and a reliable home office setup is assumed.

• 7+ years of progressive underwriting experience, incl. at least 4 years in specialty lines.
• Strong financial analysis, risk assessment, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
• ACII or CPCU qualifications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite complex specialty risks, including professional indemnity, cyber liability, construction, or political risk.
• Develop and maintain profitable relationships with brokers and distribution partners.
• Analyze financial statements, market data, and risk exposures to determine pricing and terms.
• Structure bespoke insurance programs to meet client needs with unique risk profiles.
• Contribute to underwriting strategies and market plans for specialty lines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior underwriters and support staff.
• Monitor performance of the specialty lines portfolio, identifying trends and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with claims, legal and actuarial teams on complex cases and portfolio strategies.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
