Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel specializing in Technology Transactions for a fully remote global tech firm. You will draft and negotiate software licenses, SaaS agreements, IP licenses, and development contracts, while advising on IP protection and data privacy.
You will collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams worldwide to deliver practical legal solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Admitted attorney with 7+ years in technology transactions and IP law.
- Extensive experience drafting and negotiating software licenses, SaaS, and IP contracts.
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, POPIA, CCPA).
- Ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex technology agreements (licenses, SaaS, MSAs, SOWs).
- Advise on IP protection, open-source compliance, and data privacy issues.
- Manage IP strategy including patents, trademarks, and copyrights for tech products.
- Support strategic tech partnerships and joint ventures with contract negotiation.
- Provide risk assessments and practical legal solutions for tech initiatives.
- Collaborate with global teams in a remote setting and stay updated on laws.
