Placements24 is seeking a Senior Solar Project Developer to lead development from concept to financial close in a fully remote setup. You will identify opportunities, perform feasibility work, secure land, manage permitting, and negotiate PPAs, working across regions with a strong commercial focus.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in renewable energy project development, deep solar knowledge, and excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of proven renewable energy project development experience, especially solar PV.
• Strong knowledge of land acquisition, permitting, PPA negotiation, and project finance.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and secure utility-scale and commercial solar development opportunities.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and preliminary design reviews.
• Manage and advance permitting processes at local, regional, and national levels.
• Secure land rights via lease agreements or acquisitions.
• Develop relationships with landowners, stakeholders, and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in renewable energy project development, with a strong focus on solar PV projects.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and bringing solar projects to financial close.
• In-depth knowledge of solar technology, project finance, land acquisition, permitting, and PPA negotiation.
• Strong understanding of the energy market and regulatory environments relevant to solar development.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, multiple workstreams, and diverse stakeholder groups remotely.
• Proficiency in project management software and financial modeling tools.
