Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Social Worker to support clients across South Africa via secure digital platforms. You will provide case management, counseling, and advocacy from home, delivering services remotely with a focus on accessibility and client-centred care.

The role requires an MSW, current license, 3–5 years’ experience in case management and telehealth, and strong communication skills to engage diverse communities online.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Valid professional social work license (e.g., LCSW, RSW) in good standing.
• 3–5 years of social work experience with case management and client advocacy.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and secure digital communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for virtual engagement.
• Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload with high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote client assessments via video conferencing and phone to identify needs and eligibility for services.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized service plans with clients to achieve goals.
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support services to clients facing challenges.
• Facilitate referrals to external agencies and community resources for access to support systems.
• Maintain confidential client records within the organization's secure digital case management system.
• Advocate for client rights and needs within the community and with partner organizations.
