Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer focused on simulation to join our fully remote global team. You will develop and refine advanced reservoir models to optimize hydrocarbon recovery and asset value, working with complex geological data and cutting-edge techniques.

The role involves building and calibrating 3D dynamic models, conducting uncertainty analyses, and collaborating with geologists, geophysicists, and production engineers.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering or closely related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on reservoir engineering experience with a significant focus on simulation studies.
• Expert proficiency in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, CMG Suite, Petrel RE).

Responsibilities

• Build, calibrate, and run complex 3D dynamic reservoir simulation models for various field development scenarios.
• Perform sensitivity analyses and uncertainty assessments to optimize production strategies and economic outcomes.
• Utilize advanced simulation techniques, including compositional modeling and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) simulations.
• Analyze simulation results and provide clear, actionable recommendations to management and operational teams.
• Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and production engineers to ensure integrated reservoir management.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in reservoir simulation technology and methodologies.
