Placements24 is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor specializing in Regulatory Compliance for a fully remote position in the financial services sector. The role focuses on interpreting complex SA regulatory requirements, advising business units on compliance strategies, and managing regulatory interactions across Randburg, Gauteng operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive SA financial services regulatory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead compliance initiatives

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with 8+ years post-qualification experience in financial services regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of SA financial services legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing compliance programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to convey complex regulations clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert legal advice on financial services regulations including POPIA, FICA, FAIS and related laws.
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on the business.
• Conduct internal investigations and audits for compliance.
• Liaise with regulators such as FSCA and manage regulatory reporting.
