Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer for a fully remote position. You will ensure safety of chemical processes globally, lead PHAs, develop PSM programs, review designs, and guide operational teams.

The role requires 8+ years in process safety, strong PSM expertise, and the ability to work independently in a distributed setting, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process safety engineering with emphasis on PSM.
• Expertise in PHAs and risk assessments.
• In-depth knowledge of international safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct PHAs such as HAZOP, LOPA, and What-If studies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust PSM programs.
• Review designs and process changes for safety compliance.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for engineering and operations personnel.
• Stay updated on evolving process safety regulations and best practices.
