Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer for a fully remote role based in South Africa. You will optimize hydrocarbon recovery, develop complex reservoir simulation models, and lead strategic field development planning.

Remote collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams and mentoring of juniors are key aspects. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in reservoir engineering, strong simulation software experience (ECLIPSE/CMG), and a solid foundation in petrophysics, geology, and production

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of reservoir engineering experience.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, CMG).
• Strong understanding of petrophysics, geology, and production engineering principles.
• Proven track record in developing and executing reservoir management strategies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to present complex technical information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct reservoir characterization studies from geological and engineering data.
• Develop and run reservoir simulation models to predict performance and evaluate scenarios.
• Perform decline curve analysis, material balance, and volumetric assessments.
• Identify opportunities for EOR/IOR techniques.
• Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and presentations for management.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to integrate insights into field development plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical advancement in reservoir engineering.
• Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in reservoir engineering.
